How to Optimize Images on Blogs to Be More SEO Friendly - Images are one of the important elements in optimizing SEO articles. Not without reason, Google often considers posts that have images as very informative articles with complete data. With that in mind, Google won't hesitate to give it a higher ranking on the search page.
Without images, written articles will tend to be boring in the absence of complementary visuals. However, you should also not insert images haphazardly without observing the policy guidelines.
To insert an image into the text, there are several things that need to be considered, such as:
- Visual content
Visual content is the meaning of an image used. Try to use images that match the topic of discussion. In addition, never use images that smell negative such as pornography, gambling, and drugs. This will only have a negative impact on the article.
In addition to visual content, copyright is also one of the most important things to pay attention to. Google strongly dislikes articles that use copyrighted or other people's images. Well, to get copyright-free images for free, please go to the Pixabay or Pexels site. In addition, you can also purchase image licenses on Shutterstock or Freepik.
For size, there are two important points that must be considered. The two points are ratio and file size.
For the ratio, the best image ratio to use is 1:1 and 16:9. This size is the ratio of the most widely used images today by other bloggers.
As for the file size, try to use an image that is no more than 50 kb. The larger the file size used, the longer the image will take to load. To reduce the file size, please compress the file in a photo editing application or photo compression service site.
